Meet the members of Team 106
Joel “Fitness” Matalon has been a personal fitness trainer/coach in New York City since 1988. He uses highly communicative, person-to-person methodology to help clients reach their maximum performance. Along with adults, he has a special interest in working with children and teens in one-on-one and Group training.
Joel's trainer certifications include: ACE, ISSA Youth Fitness, Post-Rehabilitation Specialist, Fitness Boxing and USAT Triathlon, along with a background in Fitness Yoga and Pilates. Joel’s extensive experience and the fact that he is New York City’s ONLY certified ChiRunning/Walking instructor makes his services highly sought after. Joel competes in endurance events and in 2007 ran five marathons in five cities and two countries. In 2009 Joel will run 10 marathons in 12 months across the globe.
Joel has now dedicated his life to making a difference for inner city teens, with his creation of Team 106. This brainchild is finishing its inaugural season consisting of marathons in Germany, Cape Cod and New York, along with raising thousands of dollars for EntrepreneursNOW.
Joel Matalon kicked off his Winter 2008 ChiRunning/Walking classes (indoor) at the JCC West Side and across the east coast on January 15th, 2008.
Dorothy Suter risked everything in 2005, leaving the security of an 18-year career in government service to leave Manhattan and become a mortgage broker in suburban Connecticut. She dedicates herself full time sales of mortgages as well as the $-Road to Riches-$ and EntrepreneursNOW programs. She is committed that 'wealth and prosperity, freedom, power and leadership be available to all willing people."
Dorothy is a graduate of Purdue University in International Agriculture, which she applied for six years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire) with the Peace Corps and U.S. Agency for International Development. She returned to the States and earned her MBA from Columbia University.
